Origins can be a bit busy. It’s especially busy when your Wargame HQ has over 180 events and around 30 GMs and things start at noon on Wednesday but you can’t get in to set up until Wednesday morning and hey, let’s put badge pickups in 4 different locations which we’re still putting security scanners in place and what do you mean there’s no chairs at the tables yet?
Yeaaaaaah . . .
We’ve got 21 game tables, a raffle table, an admin table, 3 pop-up signs, a giant tower, 21 table tents, a giant easel of game schedules, 27 or so games for raffle prizes (and multiple copies of some of those), and we’re probably forgetting to tell you about something. So the Wargame HQ is a bit chaotic that first day. Fortunately, the convention center staff followed our table layout perfectly.

The Exhibit Hall spends Wednesday getting assembled, and there’s plenty to duck, dodge and weave while you do so. It’s not open to the public, but if you’re got the right kind of badge, it’s open to get some work done, and take some (probably unauthorized) photos.

Are there games on Wednesday? You put 10,000 gamers in a building and something will break out. Of course, we also had a bunch of scheduled games going on, too.
