Yesterday we took a look at the organized gaming area and today we’re dropping in on the other spaces.
RPGs
There’s only a thousand or so RPG events at Origins every year – no biggie, right? Truthfully, there’s so many of them its nigh-impossible to find them all and try and get some coverage. It’s also outside of our wheelhouse, so let’s just enjoy this brief dip into the RPG space with a mixture of horror, pirate, post-apocalyptic, and fantasy RPGs.

Puzzles
Yes, the speed-puzzling competition is back. No, ESPN is not covering it this year. Yes, they really did 2 years ago.

The Open Gaming Area
This area was easily-identifiable because of the royal blue table-topper neoprene mats on them. The mats were provided by Game Toppers1 and the open gaming area is adjacent to the CABS library to make it more convenient for folks to check out and play a game right away.
There’s plenty more coming from the Wargame HQ, the minis wargamers, and the exhibit hall.
