The Wargame Design Studio Summer Sale is underway until 6 July
It is that time of year once again… where we here at WDS put on sale every game in our catalog that has been out longer than 12 months!
So that means that everything in their catalog except their last 4 games — Panzer Campaigns: Smolensk ’43, Musket & Pike: War of the Austrian Succession, Sword & Siege: Crusades Book I, Panzer Campaigns: Poland ’39 — is 25% off, and if you go over $199 there’s more savings. - World War II Commander: Market-Garden from Compass Games is now shipping
- SGS released Spain at War on Steam
- Black Skin Black Shirt: Ethiopia vs Fascist Italy 1935-1937 is now available from White Dog Games

David Thompson’s design diary for Line of Fire: Burnt Moon
Originally envisioned as a World War II spin-off within the Undaunted series, Line of Fire underwent a significant transformation as the project matured. When development of Undaunted 2200: Callisto began to establish a sci-fi subline within the franchise, it became clear that Line of Fire was the perfect candidate to expand this thematic universe.
With this shift in direction came a full thematic overhaul. Gone were the traditional rifle squads, scouts, and sappers. In their place emerged remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), battling for control of Io, Jupiter’s volatile volcanic moon.
