Among the games at the Wargame HQ was Cadet Games’ A&A Arnhem ’44: Operation Market-Garden, with GM Bob Fix.
Bob happened to snag a bunch of photos both (1) in sequence, and (2) with the game situation in his notes as it unfolded, so we were able to bring you this quick mini-AAR of the game.

Turn 1: British 1st Airborne gets a couple units into Arnhem, all drops completed.
Game Turn 4: XXX Corps assaulting Nijmegen. British 1st Airborne surrounded in Arnhem, trying to hold on for “the cavalry”

Game Turn 5: XXX Corps clearing Nijmegen and US Airborne units (and some XXX Corps units) trying to keep supply lines open for XXX Corps.
End of Game Turn 5 (of 10 turn game) and game ended here. Nijmegen clear of Germans, next stop Arnhem.
Poles have not dropped yet.
However, XXX Corps supply line cut in 2 places (out of supply effects—1/2 MPs, NO attack).
Supply determined at start Move Phase and instant of combat. So, Allies can clear supply road for XXX Corps and it could allow Allies to continue march toward Arnhem.
Arnhem itself cleared of all but 1 British 1st Airborne unit.
Overall, a bad day for the allied attack that was dependent on that one magical highway to get through to Arnhem.
