Sky News (and partners) have launched a new podcast called The Wargame that discusses and role-plays a simulated Russian attack on the UK.
A top team of former government ministers and military and security chiefs have taken part in a wargame that simulates a Russian attack on the UK for a new podcast series by Sky News and Tortoise Media.

The first two episodes will premiere at 00.01 on 10 June across all Sky News platforms. Episodes three and four will follow on Tuesday 17 June, with the final episode airing Tuesday 24 June.
This interesting tidbit from the latest GMT newsletter caught the attention of a bunch of different people, many of whom seem to have been surprised by it
For those of you asking about whether we can print in the US, well, we ARE looking—we just haven’t found a “great fit” partner stateside yet. For roughly the past year (mainly because we knew we were going to need a non-China printer option for Next War: Taiwan 2nd Edition once it finished development and art), Kai has been searching for a non-China printer that would work for us at the quantities, quality, and pricing that we need (remember, we have already committed to P500 pricing for our customers on scores of games, so our printer costs have to fit at least roughly in that window). The nearer-term need is for Next War: Taiwan 2nd Edition, which we can’t print in China.

- Rascal has a report on some of the direct action that publishers are taking in their pushbacks that includes a link to a letter sent to every member of Congress from one of the publishers

So the Decision Games site says that the status on these are “in stock” but the availability is “pre-order” so it’s tough to know where exactly to put these

- OSG just put the latest edition of Bonaparte in Italy on pre-order, but delivery isn’t planned until early 2027
- There’s a new expansion for Sniper Elite called Operation Kraken that’s on Gamefound, and there’s an option to add the base game to the pledge, since it’s required to play
- Marches & Batailles is now on Gamefound; it’s no dice and all tokens
- Flying-Gang is a pirate-themed ships-around-the-Caribbean game that just launched on Kickstarter

The Best Thing We Saw On Another Site This Week Was
Collections: The Logistics of Road War in the Wasteland
The one oddity here of note is that the nodes of resource production (or substantial storage) appear in Mad Max setting specifically as points, rather than zones of control. The Citadel, Gastown, the Bullet Farm and even the fuel refinery from Mad Max 2 are also single points of production, in a single settlement. In practice, in the real world, resources tend to be a lot more spread out than this, demanding military powers – like the warlords of the setting – to disperse their forces much more widely to enable production and extraction. Reducing resource production to a handful of ‘strongholds’ surrounded by ‘wasteland’ allows these warlords to concentrate their military forces a lot more than they otherwise would, which we ought to keep in mind. Warfare is thus about either raiding groups moving between these fixed resource points, or efforts to seize control of one of the points itself.
