What makes this store awesome?
Boyd Stephenson says
Game Kastle is all about community and the player experience. They have 8 tables in regular use, including one custom wargaming table that’s designed to hold terrain, objective markers, etc. underneath it. They commissioned a community member to build it too. They are really great about welcoming you when you come in and are really great about remembering your name after you’ve come in a few times.
They have a weekly wargaming night that’s mostly 40k and AoS, 4 dedicated monthly events for Battletech, weekly Kill Team play, weekly Legion play, HeroScape, Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth and even support Conquest. There’s also regular Trench Crusade and on and off Malifaux play. There’s an AoS RTT every other month and regular 40k play. Each January they also host a new year, new army escalation league. Finally, they’ve got a weekly paint night on Tuesday where you can come in, paint models, and trade tips and tricks.
Game Kastle College Park has collectible card games as their main product inventory, but also carries board wargames, minis wargames, Eurogames, big-box “ameritrash” games, tabletop RPGs, non-wargame minis (fantasy and/or space), collectible card games, general game accessories (dice, game mats, markers, etc), minis accessories (terrain, paint, etc), non-game hobby merchandise (RC vehicles, crafts, puzzles, etc)
On the shelves, it’s new games only.
