The Best Thing We Saw On Another Site This Week Was

Why Play ESR Napoleonics? by David Ensteness of The Wargaming Company, inspired by a discussion from our Saturday Night Fights crew

Unlike the typical game, this time when you consider the attack in the center you won’t be assuming the premise of the scenario is correct, you’ll know the greater context because you were part of creating it. Why is the attack in the center important? Because the French right bent instead of broke, and the French left is turning your own flank. Launching a frontal assault against fresh infantry and massed guns in the center is the best hope of compelling the French left to halt its attack that threatens to cave in your right and cut your line of retreat.

Focusing on the practitioner world ~ don’t forget about the dedicated area in our forums for the wargame professionals!

Red FIACs close with Blues main air and space defence asset and engage with ATGMs. They wreck the ASAT capabilities but by sheer luck the AAW systems survive, which becomes critical later. A scene from the wargame @nickbradbeer.bsky.social conducted with our MSc students this week.
