8 October 2021 ~
Why don’t we ever record an Origins podcast? Because pretty much every single other year, Origins happens over the summer, when we’re on hiatus for convention & travel season. Why did we have one this year? You might’ve noticed – Origins was in October. So here we are, with Ardwulf riding shotgun, and Kevin from Fort Circle Games hitchhiking along, too.
Don’t forget, you can always catch up with past episodes on the “podcast” tab of our site.
So we talk all about what we saw at the show that impressed us, how much money we spent, who wasn’t there and why GMT & Compass & the others should get out of that category, and what was G-DEX doing in the middle of it all. We talk about Catastrophe Games, lots of dice, convention center layouts, and unearthing wargames in unusual places. Surprisingly – especially with this crew – we manage to not talk about convention food at all. We also look ahead to Origins 2022, since it’s only 8-1/2 months out at this point, and talk about our plans for next summer.
As promised, the photos of the shower curtain, and throw blanket
Here’s Ardwulf’s loot video (goes live on 10/8)
And here’s Brant’s modest loot, but with the bag of home-made brown sugar brownies from mom. Includes some Christmas presents, too!
