The movie on Isandlwana is not with Michael Caine… it is with Peter O’Toole, Burt Lancaster and Michael Denholm… the post appears to confuse Isandlwana with Rourke’s Drift… sometime one wonder why people do not check stuff before posting… also the number of figures per unit is off compared to Dan Mersey’s rules.
The scenario by Little Wars makes deliberate changes to the rules to make them suitable for a battle this size.
And as to the movie, while it’s true “Zulu Dawn” is the better reference, the notion that the events at Isandlwana didn’t matter to the folks at the Drift is funny.
The Michael Caine reference was an off-the-cuff quip by me, in large part because of how many movies Michael Caine has been in throughout his career as much as anything else. It was not represented as, nor intended to be, a definitive movie reference of historical significance.
