Mentioned in Dispatches Season 8 Ep 1 ~ US Civil War/gaming (re-load)

4 February 2022 ~
(reloaded on 7 February to fix a feed problem)

Aaaaaaand, we’re back!  Brant & Mike are joined by Ardwulf for the launch of season 8, wherein we tackle a variety of wargaming topics about the US Civil War, an area of wargaming that we don’t normally discuss on our podcast.

Don’t forget, you can always catch up with past episodes on the “podcast” tab of our site.

We cover a lot of ground, and it probably still wasn’t enough: colorful command personalities, key sites for battles, Ben Madison game designs, comparing the same battle with games that are 30 years apart, block wargames on the US Civil War, and strategic vs operational vs tactical games.
And we would be remiss if we did not call out Ardwulf for being named Grognard of the Year by No Enemies Here.

We’re still a few reviews short of iTunes recommending us in their podcast engine, and every rating helps.  Thanks!
