:o

I would like to give this a look  :bigthumb:

mmm...seems along the lines of things like D&D (games master, players etc) so not really my bag.

I had hoped it might be like Skyrim or Fallout or something

Modiphius are focused on tabletop games, not digital ones, sorry! :)

An RPG space oddity? Space: 1999 – The Roleplaying Game

Quote
The Space: 1999 RPG occupies an interesting…space in the pantheon of current RPG releases; the game is certainly a fan service product that will make any Space: 1999 fan happy as it is a true homage to the series.

Is there really enough of a Space: 1999 fanbase out there for this to be viable?

Any Space 1999 game is not Space 1999 without the Eagle.

That's just a fact

I was wondering the same thing when they first announced the game.  Modiphius has done a lot with licensed games that I didn't think there was enough of an audience to be successful..

I'm still not convinced about this one given that most of the others (Conan, John Carter, etc) have at least appeared on screen since the years started with a "2" and you can find the movies on demand pretty easily.

I had to go look to see if Space 1999 was even available for streaming at all. Turns out it is, thru a bunch of different services (some of them even free, like Tubi and Pluto)

Probably.

You think so?  I barely remember the show at all.  Most of my other nerdy friends are in the same boat.  The younger ones have never heard of it and the older ones only vaguely remember it at all.

We'll see, I guess.

I'm ancient enough to remember all the Gerry Anderson stuff, although there are a few odd ones that are not generally well known
