This week's DLC diary gives us a closer glimpse of the ancient & enigmatic Wekkarus:

Their preferred habitats and unique origins give the Wekkarus several key advantages, such as improved research, due to their ancient knowledge of the galaxy, as well as improved mining rate and access to secret riches of their ocean planets. However, the Wekkarus truly come into their own due to their unique ability to manifest “ghosts” of their ancestors to help them survive the chaos of the galaxy.

Agreed.

I'm still planning to play the Atuuk first, though; they just look & sound more fun (to me).  8)

In the latest das update - he really hates them 😂 - he’s getting reports that they are great to play

He explained his dislike and he just takes his gaming more serious than most - he says these are too comic - I think there’s an option or something on the interface for them that’s says ‘what does this button do’ - he’s not amused 😂😂

Nice to see the Zenox finally get their refresh; looking forward to taking them out for a spin again.  Also happy to see the return of queued missions.

The Atuuk and Wekkarus DLC is now available!  I gotta admit, this trailer is a cut above Slitherine's usual quality:

Slitherine is hosting at AMA on Monday (April 14) with the DW2 dev team, including not just Erik Rutins, but a rare appearance by Elliot Gibbs himself:

The "Tactics" update dropped today.  It's focused around improving fleet behavior, plus adds the ability to upgrade fleet templates.
